"Cycles"

Words spoken with nothing to say. Hours worked with nothing achieved. Reflections with no stimulants. Devotion without morale. Value sought at the expense of values.  Love given and made with no heart. Endless cycles of survival without a life.

"Hallway"

A man stands starring down at the end of a hallway. At the other end another man stares right back at him. For one man the hallway is calm and teaming with bright lights, for the other it is tenebrous and minatory. The man in the light speaks soft words of peace and harmony, while the man in darkness sputes feelings of abomination and abhorrence. A bad cluster of thunderstorms has rolled through the area forcing the man off the road and into the rest  stop  just off highway exit 119.  An elderly waitress comes over to re-fill Roth's empty coffee cup. He nods and politely says thank you as she pours the boiling hot liquid. A handful of spread-out patrons liter the   small diner, each minding their own business.  "Man this storm really came out of no-where huh?,"  Roth  says to another elderly gentleman sitting at the end of the counter.  "I got to get going soon," the elderly man says. "Can't stay here to long.  I've got to g et  going . "  Puzzled and slightly
